Position Overview

The role of the Loan Officer Associate is pivotal in supporting branch Loan Officers while preparing for advancement into a Loan Officer position. This position involves a blend of operational training and educational development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of loan application documentation.
  • Photocopy and scan necessary documents into the Loan Operating System throughout the loan application process.
  • Shadow Loan Officers to gain insights into the pre-qualification process and the nuances of accurate loan applications.
  • Update loan applications with any missing information, such as lot numbers, addresses, plan types, and delivery timelines.
  • Facilitate communication with borrowers or processing teams as directed by Loan Officers or Division Managers.
  • Support processors and closers in obtaining loan documents from borrowers and other relevant parties.
  • Engage in ongoing training to prepare for a Loan Officer role through the Lennar Mortgage Training Course Catalogue.
  • Complete testing for mortgage licensing and state-specific licensing as required.
  • Maintain comprehensive notes within the origination computer system to ensure effective communication regarding loan applications and statuses.
  • Occasionally assist with the initial setup of loan files, including ordering titles.
  • Participate in community events and functions to foster relationships with builders and realtors.
  • Collaborate with Division Managers and Loan Officers on local marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A four-year college degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated sales and customer service skills.
  • Prior banking experience is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
  • Trilingual proficiency in Hindi and Punjabi is preferred.

Compensation Overview

The estimated median base compensation for this position is approximately $20.50 per hour, subject to adjustments based on qualifications, geographic location, and operational considerations. Performance-based bonuses may also be available.

Physical Requirements

This role requires regular in-person attendance at company sites and offices during standard working hours. Candidates must be able to work extended hours in confined spaces, operate a motor vehicle, and perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment exceeding 50 pounds.
