Position Overview

The role of the Loan Officer Associate is crafted to support branch Loan Officers while preparing the associate for a future position as a Loan Officer. This position involves a combination of educational sessions and hands-on training, focusing on loan application processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of loan application documents.
  • Manage the documentation process by photocopying and scanning into the Loan Operating System.
  • Shadow Loan Officers to gain insights into the pre-qualification process and accurate loan application techniques.
  • Update loan applications with necessary information such as lot numbers, addresses, and plan types.
  • Facilitate communication with borrowers and processing teams as directed by Loan Officers or Division Managers.
  • Support processors and closers in gathering loan documents from borrowers and relevant entities.
  • Engage in ongoing training through the Lennar Mortgage Training Course Catalogue.
  • Complete testing for mortgage licensing and state licensing as required.
  • Maintain comprehensive notes within the origination system to ensure effective communication regarding loan applications and statuses.
  • Occasionally assist with initial file setups, including ordering titles.
  • Participate in community events to foster relationships with builders and realtors.
  • Collaborate with Division Managers and Loan Officers on local marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A four-year college degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated sales and customer service skills.
  • Experience in banking is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
  • Trilingual candidates, particularly in Hindu and Punjabi, are preferred.

Compensation Overview

The median base compensation for this position is estimated to be $20.50/hour, subject to adjustments based on qualifications, location, and operational considerations. This position may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses.

Physical Requirements

This role requires regular in-person attendance at company locations during standard work hours. Candidates must be able to work extended hours in confined spaces, operate a motor vehicle, and perform physical tasks as necessary.
