Job Title: IT Desktop Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced IT Desktop Engineer to join our team at Parexel International Corporation. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our end-user computing services, including Wintel, MacOS, iOS, and Android platforms, Microsoft 365 suites, mobility, and workstation applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, support, and maintain MDM platforms and other centralized management tools and applications.
  • Contribute to the improvement of system performance, reliability, end-user experience, and productivity.
  • Maintain standardization and validation of end-user computing environments, working with other IT groups as required.
  • Ensure service delivery targets and operational requirements are met.
  • Research and recommend new efficiencies, technologies, and products to enhance and improve end-user computing services.
  • Resolve complex technical problems as part of level three end-user technical support.
  • Identify operational issues and problems, perform break/fix resolution, and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Support and guide lower-tier technical teams for continuous improvements of end-user computing support services.
  • Participate in all necessary activities for the success of assigned projects.

  • Substantial experience and in-depth knowledge in the functional area.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Native language and excellent written and spoken English language skills.
  • 3-5+ years of Enterprise desktop support and/or related work experiences.
  • Advance experience in systems support and operations, including LAN administration, endpoint support, deployment, and user support.
  • Specific advanced experience is required in PC Hardware (Intel-based equipment) and peripherals, Microsoft operating systems and M365 software, general PC application support, iOS/Android operating systems support and maintenance.
  • Experience supporting MacOS and hardware is advantageous.
  • Specific experience in managing end-points with MDM solutions such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), SCCM, and/or Jamf (MacOS) is advantageous.
  • Specific experience in application packaging and deployment via centralized solutions such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) or SCCM is advantageous.

Education:

  • College/University degree in a relevant technical area (Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering) or equivalent experience.
