Key Responsibilities

Peraton is on the lookout for a Lead Cybersecurity Solutions Architect to join our esteemed Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional cyber and technological security expertise to enhance secure and efficient business operations.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

The DSCM program provides comprehensive support encompassing technical, engineering, data analytics, cybersecurity, management, operational, logistical, and administrative functions to assist the DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate. This includes safeguarding a global cyber infrastructure that consists of networks, systems, information, and mobile devices while proactively identifying and mitigating cyber risks and threats.

In this position, you will:

  • Investigate and assess emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to deploy innovative solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments and pilot initiatives to evaluate new technologies.
  • Offer technical guidance and support during the integration of novel technologies.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in the industry and best practices.
  • Design and conduct training sessions to inform team members about new technologies.
  • Generate comprehensive documentation and reports regarding technology evaluations and implementation strategies.
  • Formulate a Technology Roadmap that aligns with industry trends and collaborate with vendor partners to perform Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) assessments aimed at operationalizing innovative technologies that can be securely deployed to support foreign diplomacy missions.
  • Develop pilot program evaluations that showcase capabilities for adoption by Diplomatic Security stakeholders.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • 14 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree; 12 years with a Master's degree; 9 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Possess at least ONE of the following certifications, or be able to obtain it prior to starting: CASP+ CE; CCISO; CCNA Cyber Ops; CCNA-Security; CCNP Security; CEH; CFR; CISA; CISM; CISSP (or Associate); CISSP-ISSAP; CISSP-ISSEP; Cloud+; CySA+; GCED; GCIA; GCIH; GICSP; GSLC; SCYBER.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Capacity to adapt to a swiftly evolving technological environment.
  • Awareness of current technology trends and a commitment to innovation.
  • Experience with AI, machine learning, blockchain, IoT, or other cutting-edge technologies.
  • Fundamental understanding of Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS).
  • Knowledge of Cloud Platform capabilities and configurations.
  • Familiarity with command-line tools and shell scripting.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Project management expertise and the ability to juggle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Familiarity with prominent security frameworks such as NIST AI 100, CSF2.0, OWASP LLM Top 10, etc.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Active Secret security clearance, with the capability to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.

Compensation Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
