Position Overview

This full-time hybrid position for a Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer at APTNEXUS involves supporting our client with the flexibility of remote work after an initial onsite period. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in the development, execution, and daily management of cyber engineering strategies, tools, and methodologies aimed at strengthening the cybersecurity framework of our U.S. Civilian agency client.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Management, or a related discipline
  • Experience in a role as an Information Systems Security Officer or Manager
  • Proficiency in developing and managing Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization packages and associated documentation throughout their lifecycle
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP and a solid understanding of cloud computing architecture within cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP) alongside federal compliance standards
  • Experience utilizing cybersecurity tools such as Splunk, CrowdStrike, and Qualys
  • Expertise in hardening servers, workstations, routers, switches, and mobile devices according to CIS or STIG guidelines
  • Capabilities in Security Engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies
  • Possession of CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications
