Registered Flight Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Flight Respiratory Therapist to collaborate with our skilled air transportation professionals in the safe transfer of patients to and from healthcare facilities, as well as during emergency response situations. Ensuring safety and delivering effective patient care are fundamental aspects of our operations, and you will be part of a committed team that upholds the highest safety standards for both crew and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate each scenario to determine the most appropriate actions for supporting, monitoring, and treating patients in critical conditions.
  • Employ critical thinking abilities to manage adult or pediatric patients who are critically ill or injured, while adhering to physicians' directives.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-equipped aircraft environment, conduct regular equipment checks, and comply with established safety protocols and briefings.
  • Engage collaboratively and communicate effectively in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, healthcare facilities, and partners.
  • Provide comprehensive shift change information to the incoming team and follow established protocols to ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Remain accountable for maintaining all necessary certifications and completing ongoing training required for the role.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to meeting our elevated standards in safety and service.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in respiratory care within an ER or ICU setting in the past 18 months.
  • Valid State Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
  • CRITT certification.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required prior to achieving flight status.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification (provided during orientation).
  • Must obtain trauma certification within 12 months of employment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent experience in NICU and/or transport settings.
  • Prior experience in air medical transport.
