Job Summary

The Business Account Executive is a key role in driving sales growth and revenue expansion for Wave. As a Business Account Executive, you will be responsible for selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within a specified territory. Your primary services will include coax delivered Internet, video, and voice, while ancillary services will encompass custom hosting, desktop security, data backup, data storage, toll-free numbers, additional email addresses, static IPs, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Place orders through order management software and work with the Account Coordinator to ensure accurate and timely submission of sales orders, contracts, billing forms, and sales reports.
  • Have a complete understanding of Spectrum Business coax services, rates (individual and bundled), and applicable taxes.
  • Demonstrate selling skills and product knowledge, practicing with other Account Executives and staying up-to-date with new sales techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities within assigned territory, utilizing Salesforce.com to maximize territory potential.
  • Meet and exceed performance standards as defined by the department Standards of Performance (SOP) and the Spectrum Way Sales Model.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings as established by management.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Outside sales experience in a high-transaction, short-closing cycle model, preferably 3-5 years.
  • Business-to-business sales experience.
  • Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets.
Working Conditions

The Business Account Executive will work in an office environment and/or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather. Moderate noise levels may be present.

A qualified applicant's criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances.

The base pay for this position generally ranges from $47,800.00 to $94,900.00, with a commission earnings target starting at $54,000.
