Business Development Executive

The Business Account Executive is a key role within Charter Communications, responsible for selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within a specified territory. This includes coax delivered Internet, video, and voice services, as well as custom hosting, desktop security, data backup, data storage, toll-free numbers, additional email addresses, static IPs, and more.
Key Responsibilities- Actively support customer experience initiatives and simplify administrative work to focus on sales activities.
- Place orders through order management software and work with the Account Coordinator to ensure accurate and timely submission of sales orders, contracts, billing forms, and sales reports.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Spectrum Business coax services, rates, and applicable taxes.
- Demonstrate exceptional selling skills and product knowledge, practicing with other Account Executives and staying up-to-date with new sales techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within the assigned territory.
- Meet and exceed performance standards as defined by the department Standards of Performance (SOP) and the Spectrum Way Sales Model.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings as established by management.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Related work experience in outside sales, business-to-business sales, or a similar field is preferred. Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets is also desirable.
Working ConditionsThis role will be based in an office environment and/or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather. Moderate noise levels may be present.
CompensationThe base pay for this position is between $47,800.00 and $94,900.00, with a commission earnings target starting at $54,000. Additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses, may be available.
