Job Summary

The Business Account Executive is a key role within Charter Communications, responsible for selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within a specified territory. This includes coax delivered Internet, video, and voice services, as well as custom hosting, desktop security, data backup, data storage, toll-free numbers, additional email addresses, static IPs, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Actively support customer experience initiatives and simplify administrative work to focus on sales activities.
  2. Place orders through order management software and work with the Account Coordinator to ensure accurate and timely submission of sales orders, contracts, billing forms, and sales reports.
  3. Develop a thorough understanding of Spectrum Business coax services, rates, and applicable taxes.
  4. Demonstrate exceptional selling skills and product knowledge, practicing with other Account Executives and staying up-to-date with new sales techniques.
  5. Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within the assigned territory.
  6. Meet and exceed performance standards as defined by the department Standards of Performance (SOP) and the Spectrum Way Sales Model.
  7. Attend and participate in sales meetings as established by management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  2. Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals.
  3. Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Preferred Qualifications

Related work experience in outside sales, business-to-business sales, or a similar field is preferred. Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets is also desirable.

Working Conditions

This role will be based in an office environment and/or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather. Moderate noise levels may be present.

Compensation

The base pay for this position is between $47,800.00 and $94,900.00, with a commission earnings target starting at $54,000. Additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses, may be available.
