Key Responsibilities of the Automotive Service Writer:

  • Oversees, prioritizes, and directs the workflow of incoming and outgoing customer vehicles, liaising with the Service team, coordinating drivers, and following up with customers to ensure clear and accurate expectations are established and met.

Essential Qualifications for the Automotive Service Writer include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Service Writer, ideally in a dealership setting; or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience that equips the individual with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Proficiency in web-based applications and Microsoft Office Suite, along with relevant departmental software for research and information retrieval.
  • A valid driver's license for the state of residence must be maintained throughout employment.
