About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer II to join our AWS EC2 Edge Frontier team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the design and development of secure, reliable, scalable, and high-performance on-device software that helps expand the edge compute business.

You will work closely with our cross-functional team to develop, provision, deploy, and operate the core software and devices running on the deployed Frontier and Snow devices. Your expertise in software development, testing, and deployment will be essential in ensuring the success of our edge compute business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop secure, reliable, scalable, and high-performance on-device software.
  • Contribute to cloud-based software to prepare devices for use.
  • Measure and identify areas of improvement in our frameworks, tools, processes, and strive to make them better.
  • Own new features from inception through development and release.

What You'll Need:

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Experience in BIOS, BMC, TPM firmware and AWS services.
  • Familiarity with software development process from build, test, to deployment.
  • Experience with Linux kernel components and device drivers.
