Job Overview

Position: Facilities Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Engineer to enhance our technical team. This role is crucial in maintaining a stable and efficient systems environment while ensuring optimal performance of our infrastructure and technical services.

Key Responsibilities

As a Facilities Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Providing expert technical support for our infrastructure and hosting operations.
  • Assisting with IT Infrastructure & Operations, including Network/Server and Storage management.
  • Supporting additional infrastructure expansions while adhering to established service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Building and maintaining relationships with third-party service providers, including ISPs and cloud vendors.
  • Managing a diverse environment that incorporates various hardware vendors such as Cisco, HP, Dell, and F5, along with MS Windows and Linux systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with SLAs for IT services and maintaining functional operations.
  • Researching and recommending potential technology solutions to support new initiatives and procurement efforts.
  • Regularly reviewing and testing critical systems to ensure their availability.
  • Participating in escalation procedures for timely issue resolution.
  • Supporting the definition and adherence to IT Infrastructure standards and policies.
  • Implementing ITIL-based policies and procedures, including change management.
  • Maintaining a high-level operational environment to promote client retention.
  • Documenting infrastructure changes and creating tickets in the system.
  • Monitoring data center operations around the clock, which may require occasional overtime.
  • Handling physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in IT technical environments and solutions.
  • Experience in supporting data center operations.
  • A proven track record in delivering solutions in various environments, including Internet, network, and cloud services.
  • Strong vendor management capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A collaborative and detail-oriented approach.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as MCSE, networking, and ITIL/ITSM.
  • A proactive and innovative mindset towards challenges.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Note: This position requires shift work, with hours from Monday to Friday, 12 AM to 9 AM.
