Position Overview: Chesterfield Music Coordinator

This full-time role is pivotal in collaborating with the music team, producers, and related staff to support and enhance the worship experience at our Chesterfield campus. The individual will also play a crucial role in developing central music resources for all campuses, including music demos, charts, tracks, and other musical support for weekend services.

Key Responsibilities

Chesterfield Campus Duties
  • Support the Chesterfield Music Lead during weekend services by leading worship, managing the band, and directing music, primarily from an instrument.
  • Collaborate with the Chesterfield Music Lead to train and prepare volunteers and contractors for worship leadership each weekend, fostering their growth in skills and experience.
  • Ensure all instruments at the Chesterfield campus are well-maintained, tuned, and functioning optimally.
  • Build and nurture relationships with volunteers and contractors serving at the Chesterfield location.
Central Services Duties
  • Assist the Music Team by producing relevant music demos as assigned.
  • Lead the creation of instrumental tracks for use in services.
  • Provide resources for instrumentalists to enhance their contributions.
  • Collaborate with Production Technicians to stay updated on musical trends and technology.
  • Engage in brainstorming sessions for innovative music initiatives.
  • Operate the studio and serve as a recording engineer as required.
  • Network with local musicians to foster community connections.
  • Direct music events as assigned.
  • Participate in songwriting sessions to contribute to the creative process.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a worship leader and vocalist.
  • Demonstrated ability in music production, directing music teams, and leading worship services in a church setting.
  • Proficiency in leading from an instrument, preferably guitar or keyboard.
  • Experience in a large church environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills to convey essential musical details to vocalists and instrumentalists.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Digital Audio Workstations (Ableton, Protools, Mainstage, Logic).
  • Focus on developing and enhancing scalable, high-quality systems and processes for achieving campus and team objectives.
