Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure exceptional service and operational excellence in quality, presentation, and overall dining experience, meeting and exceeding the expectations of our residents.
  • Assure quality nutritional services are provided daily and maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in the dining services department.
  • Requisition and inspect food, supplies, and equipment to maintain stock levels, working closely with the Chef to ensure standards of quality are met.
  • Manage dining staff, including the chef, servers, cooks, and utility workers, to achieve operating efficiencies in quality of service, resident satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Maintain quality dining services and staffing within the prescribed budget.
  • Conduct frequent inspections of all work, storage, and serving areas to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Prepare cleaning schedules, production worksheets, and staff schedules, as well as complete staff reviews.
  • Interview, orientate, and train staff to our culture and expectations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's Degree, Certified Dietary Manager Certification, and ServSafe Certification.
  • Experience: Three or more years in a supervisory culinary role.
  • Skill: Proficiency in Microsoft software programs, strong planning, organizing, leadership, and team management skills, and comprehensive knowledge of food service systems and administration.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Experience: Direct experience working in senior living as a culinary supervisor.
