Position Summary: We are currently seeking applications for the role of Senior Manager, Lending Collateral Administration. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills and experience to undertake the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the organization-wide management of collateral, insurance, and escrow accounts for both commercial and consumer loans, including intricate commercial transactions and syndications.
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive collateral management strategy that aligns with the overarching business goals of the organization.
  • Take charge of the due diligence processes related to collateral during the loan origination phase, including managing force-placed insurance, optional insurance, and escrow processing.
  • Conduct insurance reviews, monitor compliance, and resolve exceptions.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with collateral management.
  • Ensure adherence to all banking regulations and compliance standards.
  • Continuously assess and enhance collateral management processes and systems to boost efficiency, minimize costs, and strengthen controls.
  • Collaborate closely with lending divisions, risk management, operations, and technology teams to ensure smooth collateral operations.
  • Generate reports and provide insights to various business partners as required.
  • Guarantee compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to collateral management.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Manage staffing decisions, including hiring, termination, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field, along with 10+ years of experience in banking, loan processing, collateral management, insurance, or related areas.
  • Proven managerial experience is essential.
  • A combination of education and experience may fulfill the requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of collateral management, insurance, escrow, and lending operations principles and systems is required.
  • Ability to comprehend various collateral types, lien perfection, and maintenance of lien positions.
  • Familiarity with UCC filing requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Solid understanding of risk management principles.
  • Ability to engage effectively with both internal and external clients.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on client relations.
  • Proficient in assessing and identifying inherent risks.
  • Working knowledge of relevant software applications and systems.
  • Demonstrated management capabilities.
