Vaco is seeking a seasoned Corporate Controller to join our team in Smyrna, GA. As a key member of our executive leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Monthly Close Process: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, driving business decisions with confidence.
  • Prepare Financial Statements: Craft detailed financial statements that reflect the company's true financial health.
  • Manage and Inspire a Team: Lead and mentor a talented team of 3, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve exceptional results.
  • Enhance Policies and Procedures: Establish and refine accounting policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and compliance.
  • Oversee Inventory Operations: Manage and optimize inventory operations to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and alignment with financial goals.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance: A strong academic background in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Equivalent: CPA certification is preferred.
  • 8 Years of Relevant Experience: Proven experience in financial reporting, month-end close processes, and inventory management.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, with a track record of fostering collaboration and achieving results.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software: Expertise in using accounting software and tools, with a preference for experience in ERP systems.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively.
  • Adaptability and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
