Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Apis Services, Inc. as a Residential Care Specialist. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being is maintained.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct treatment interventions and activities, including assisting clients with daily living tasks and social skills.
  • Carry out or assist with recreational activities, observe and reinforce behaviors as prescribed by the treatment plan, and intervene to resolve conflicts as they arise.
  • Provide personal care assistance to residents in areas such as personal grooming, bathing, dressing, and undressing, oral hygiene, hair care, shaving, nail care, nutrition, and hydration.
  • Monitor the well-being and location of clients, completing documentation in the shift log, and make notes to the clinical record as assigned.
  • Attend and participate in daily shift reports, staff meetings, and training sessions as required by policy and/or as assigned.
  • Document and report changes in building conditions/client's mental physical health to the Team Leader and the Core Team.
  • Assist others in emergency situations, ensuring that the Team Leader is alerted to the problem and is involved in the decision-making process in any unusual event.
  • Know and carry out emergency procedures, including fire safety procedures and first aid.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of accredited CNA program
  • Delaware certification as a certified nursing assistant
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Valid driver's license and clean MVR (motor vehicle record)
