Position Overview:

We are in search of a highly qualified Senior Estimator for Large Commercial Construction Projects. This pivotal role entails overseeing the entire estimating process for large-scale commercial projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in ground-up commercial construction, project management, and estimating, demonstrating a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality results on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all phases of the estimating process for large commercial construction projects, from initial concept through to final bid submission.
  • Create precise and comprehensive cost estimates for ground-up commercial construction, encompassing labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to collect essential information for accurate estimates.
  • Utilize advanced software tools such as Revit, Primavera, Destini, and Bluebeam for estimating and project management.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential challenges and formulate contingency strategies.
  • Evaluate design alternatives and recommend optimal solutions based on cost-effectiveness, engineering quality, and material availability.
  • Engage in contract negotiations and award processes.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, pricing, and construction methodologies to ensure competitive bidding.
  • Present estimates and conduct bid reviews with senior management.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of estimating processes and practices.


Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, focusing on large-scale projects.
  • Demonstrated success in project estimating, with experience in hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, systems, and market trends.
  • Proficiency in estimating and project management software, including Revit, Primavera, Destini, and Bluebeam.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex information and produce accurate estimates.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet stringent deadlines.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional Estimator Certification (e.g., CPE, PMP) is advantageous.
