Position Overview

Insight Global is in search of a Cybersecurity Engineer to contribute to a Department of Defense initiative. This role allows for remote work flexibility up to three days a week. The key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all cybersecurity and information technology elements of the designated program.
  • Engaging in high-level system architecture design, development, integration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Translating military operational and mission needs across various domains (land, sea, air, and space) into actionable systems concepts and design performance criteria.
  • Participating in post-award program evaluations, design assessments, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) as the cybersecurity engineering expert for assigned projects.
  • Assessing and conducting design efforts from a cybersecurity perspective to ensure the integration of necessary cybersecurity solutions and the adequacy of analyses.
  • Preparing and reviewing cybersecurity-related testing strategies, procedures, and reports on technical sufficiency for both government and contractor evaluations, along with related failure documentation.
  • Evaluating system performance against cybersecurity specifications, monitoring field performance, and assessing risks related to user and specification requirements.
  • Formulating and assessing cybersecurity strategies for the requested programs.
  • Demonstrating experience in preparing recommended Information Assurance (IA) approvals and supporting documentation, along with a solid understanding of systems engineering processes and extensive experience in Network Security Architecture.
  • Conducting security analyses and risk/vulnerability assessments.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or equivalent experience as determined by the government.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE certification (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with AR 25-2 and the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), including recent experience in obtaining system accreditation using the DoD RMF and eMASS software.
  • Knowledge of DoD standards that guide the development of cybersecurity policies, requirements, integration, engineering, and certification/accreditation.
  • Experience in conducting ACAS scans and quarterly STIG assessments.
