Position Overview

LMI is in search of a Cybersecurity Engineer to contribute to initiatives associated with ERP modernization within a broader Army ERP transition and convergence effort, specifically the Enterprise Business System – Convergence (EBS-C) program. The Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for executing tasks that support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle, leading to successful Authority to Operate (ATO) determinations.

Note: Flexible telework options are available, with a requirement to visit client offices once a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer security support and assessment to development teams, ensuring the integration of information assurance and cybersecurity while addressing vulnerabilities throughout the System Life Cycle Development for tactical releases.
  • Assist in the creation, review, and management of system Assess and Authorize documentation to guarantee compliance with RMF standards.
  • Verify that controls adhere to Risk Management Framework compliance as per Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM) and RMF controls, utilizing Committee on National Security Systems Instruction (CNSS) Instructions 1253 Security Controls Assessment Procedures in accordance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication to uphold the security posture of the information system.
  • Provide guidance to government and technical contractors concerning IATT and ATO activities, ensuring completion and supporting the approval of related documentation.
  • Maintain the accreditation status of systems, develop reports, and notify system proponents when accreditation documentation requires updates.
  • Prepare, distribute, and uphold plans, instructions, guidance, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) regarding the security of information systems.
  • Review Army and DoD policies and formulate local policies and procedures that implement the Army and DoD's Cybersecurity subprograms and initiatives.
  • Support the evaluation of system and network modifications for cybersecurity implications, focusing on confidentiality, integrity, availability, and overall system security posture.
  • Review submitted Plans of Actions & Milestones (POA&M) for approval by the Authorizing Official (AO).
  • Assist in the review and updates of cybersecurity milestones and timelines, identifying necessary tasks to meet those timelines.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of proven experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring cybersecurity solutions, with experience in RMF and eMASS.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as static code analysis (SCA) tools, DISA STIGs, ACAS/Nessus, or similar tools.
  • Security+ certification (IAT Level II Certification).
  • Experience in evaluating enterprise and system security designs and related architecture.
  • Adherence to cybersecurity requirements and best practices (e.g., NIST controls, DISA STIGs).
  • Must possess and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Desired:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other DoD 8570 IAT Level III certifications.
  • AWS cloud experience.
  • Azure cloud experience.
  • DevSecOps experience.
  • Experience with Army RMF 2.0 implementations and projects.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework.
  • Agile certifications.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance.
