The Structures Company is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Product Development and Production Run programs with key customers.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers.
- Collaborate with senior management, engineering, and production teams to review and implement incoming contracts and purchase orders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to gather product and technical requirements.
- Present product development prototype results to customers using MS PowerPoint and facilitate the transition into recurring production orders.
- Understand and apply knowledge of manufacturing operations, including CNC milling, turning, brazing, bonding, TIG welding, and Laser Welding.
- Manage and maintain schedules and Gantt charts for assigned projects, communicating and working with customers to alter contract dates as needed.
- Populate and manage customer-business action item tasks, including taking meeting minutes.
- Assist in continuously updating and improving our ERP system and integrating it into our processes.
- Support manufacturing managers and technicians in optimizing materials, processes, and supply chain(s).
- Aid with procurement of processes and bill of material for the manufacturing of hardware.
- Lead customer-business communications in triage efforts, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and customer support.
- Support laboratory managers and technicians in ensuring quality assurance and compliance with DV&T requirements.
- Create and facilitate paperwork as required to satisfy quality and AS9100 requirements.
- Represent the company at prospective customer events, such as web-conferences, technical workshops, and tradeshows.
- Track spending in relation to budget and assist accounting in invoicing deliverables, addressing scope creep when applicable.
- Support laboratory and production in continuous improvements to processes and facilities/equipment.
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Business or a technical field.
- Minimum of five years of work experience as a program or project manager.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of PDM and ERP software.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
