To excel in this role, candidates must effectively manage the responsibilities outlined below while fostering a constructive and solution-oriented rapport with colleagues, suppliers, and clients. The position demands strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. A high proficiency in forklift operation is essential, alongside a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following tasks are typically associated with this role. The employee may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be assigned additional or varied responsibilities.

  • Operate a forklift to assist both internal and external clients as well as suppliers.
  • Conduct safety inspections on forklifts.
  • Manage receiving tasks, including unloading, counting, and inspecting incoming materials.
  • Maintain the production area by stocking necessary materials and collaborating with other departments to address material-related issues.
  • Organize and oversee inventory, perform cycle counts, and identify as well as report any discrepancies.
  • Exhibit a safety-first work ethic.
  • Support and promote the corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

The following outlines the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in this position, which can typically be acquired quickly.

  • High School diploma.
  • A minimum of 2 years of forklift operation experience is required.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, read a tape measure, utilize a computer, and lift heavy objects.
  • Friendly demeanor with effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management capabilities with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Must adhere to all safety regulations and policies.
