Logistics Sales Professional

We are seeking a dynamic sales professional to join our team at Hospitality Logistics. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to break into the logistics space with a company that fully supports the growth and development of our team members.
Job Purpose:
This is a sales hunter role that will be building sales pipeline to drive new customer growth. As a Business Development Representative, you will be looking to identify shippers to trust our organization with their freight. We provide full operational and accounting support to put you in a position to continually cultivate your sales pipeline for new customers and drive account strategy with the operations support roles for existing customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Director, Sales Operations to develop and implement growth-based sales strategies that achieve revenue and profit targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Use independent judgement and discretion to determine which shippers have freight transport opportunities, which lanes to quote, and which loads to accept. Effectively identify decision-makers and establish/maintain relationships with shippers that contribute to reaching revenue and profit targets. Collaborate internally with operations teams to strategize and respond to RFP/RFQ's. Collaborate with operations team members to provide excellent customer service and prompt issue resolution. Use company provided CRM to manage the entire sales pipeline and the associated leading indicator metrics that result in hitting revenue and profit targets. Travel to customer and/or prospective client sites (as needed) to facilitate profitable and sustainable relationships within the business.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred, but no degree required. Logistics/transportation sales preferred, but not required. Comfortable prospecting on phone and electronically. Strong professional written and verbal communications skills. Proficient with MS Office, expertise with MS Excel. Efficient time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a demanding environment. Strong negotiation skills. Initiative-taking decision making and critical thinking skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Competitive base pay and uncapped commissions. PTO and paid holidays.
