About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Penske Logistics. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, overhauling, adjusting, and repairing all series of motor truck and trailer equipment, with a primary focus on refrigeration unit maintenance equipment designed for commercial trucks and trailers.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform All Levels of Maintenance Services: You will be responsible for performing all levels of maintenance services, including preventative maintenance and repair, on refrigeration unit equipment designed for commercial trucks and trailers.
  • Test and Repair Equipment: You will test lines, components, and connections using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic test equipment to identify and repair any issues.
  • Maintain Work Area Appearance and Safety: You will maintain a clean and organized work area, and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Inspect and Verify Dimensions and Clearances: You will inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications.


Requirements:


  • 6 Years Practical Experience with Tractor Trailer Maintenance Required
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • Vocational/Technical or Certification Preferred
  • ASE Certification and 608/609 Certifications Preferred
  • Proficiency in the Use of All Necessary Tools of Trade Required
