We are in search of a skilled and driven Onsite Technician to enhance our support team. The Onsite Technician plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional assistance to our clients while ensuring the smooth operation of their technological frameworks. This position is essential in fostering and maintaining robust client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver top-tier, multi-level onsite technical assistance to clients, either as scheduled or in response to service inquiries.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify hardware and software challenges, including component upgrades and part replacements.
- Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor during client interactions.
- Identify opportunities for promoting additional managed service provider (MSP) offerings.
- Keep precise and comprehensive records of client communications, issues, and solutions.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of on-site equipment, components, and supplies.
- Keep clients updated on the status of their inquiries and requests, serving as a professional and approachable contact for technical support.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior technicians or engineers as needed.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications, hardware, and operating systems.
- Educate end-users on best practices for technology use.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures, including security and compliance standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, and Microsoft Certified Professional are preferred but not mandatory.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Demonstrated experience in onsite technical support, hardware/software troubleshooting, and network assistance.
- Strong understanding of common operating systems and software applications.
- Familiarity with hardware components and capability to perform basic repairs and upgrades.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective client interactions.
- Customer-focused mindset.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Experience providing IT support in a Windows Active Directory environment.
- Basic understanding of Windows Server.
- Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts, including IP addressing.
