CTR Group is seeking a skilled Planner / Estimator to support our Shipyard Client in Virginia Beach, VA.

8 Temp-Hire Positions available.

Candidates can come from any Navy Ship Repair Background.



Positions are open to considering candidates from various Navy Ship Maintenance / Repair roles, electricians, pipefitters, shipfitters, welders, and outside machinists.

Applicants should be at a journeyman level, comfortable working in an office environment with computer proficiency, and possess strong communication skills.

Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the Navy.

Seeking local candidates only.

Pay Rates: $24 - $30 per Hour.



Job Summary:

The selected candidate shall report directly to the Supervisory Planner/Estimator and shall be responsible for writing Work Specifications, conducting ship checks, and estimating labor, material and subcontractor work at the paragraph and line-item level for U.S. Navy Ship repair work, alterations and modifications.

Candidates shall be capable of assessing ship's material condition by conducting ship checks, researching ship drawings, technical manuals, analyzing ship condition assessments and tests, and determine scope of work required by reviewing and validating Work.
