We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Services Specialist to join our team at the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority. This role will provide administrative support to the Human Resources department and other administrative units, ensuring the smooth operation of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with payroll and benefits administration, including preparing and reviewing payroll, entering new hires and employee change requests, and coordinating timekeeping for all employees.
- Provide support with procurement and contracts duties, including sending reminders to vendors, maintaining insurance information, and uploading contracts to Open Source.
- Assist with Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and coordinate responses with the Legal department.
- May research, assist, and coordinate staff training programs, including organizing informational sessions and compiling the HR Monthly Newsletter.
- Provide administrative support for the CHFA intranet, including posting information, troubleshooting issues, and administering trainings.
- Assist with travel coordination, including booking flights, accommodations, and ground transportation, and reviewing and approving travel expense reports.
- Schedule mortgage meetings and provide backup recordings of mortgage, finance, board, and QAP meetings.
We are looking for a candidate with a BS/BA degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will have five years of experience in a combination of fiscal and administrative functions, including human resources, payroll, benefits, training, and budget/procurement management.
The successful candidate will have excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and exceptional customer service, verbal and written communication skills. They will also have analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as good judgment and attention to detail.
