The Pharmaceutical Care Associate is tasked with the responsibility of documenting, delivering, and administering medications to residents as prescribed by their healthcare providers, ensuring exceptional customer service while adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.


Compensation:
$21.00/hour (dependent on experience)

Work Schedule:
Friday to Monday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with their prescribed medications, treatments, and care as per established protocols and regulations.
  • Monitor, confirm, and document that medications are taken or applied as instructed.
  • Alert supervisors if medications are not administered as directed and document the reasons.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential records of resident medications and care in compliance with established procedures.
  • Coordinate medication services with residents, pharmacies, and healthcare providers, verifying dosages prior to dispensing.
  • Track medication changes and refills, preparing medications for distribution up to 24 hours in advance.
  • Participate in narcotic counts at the beginning and end of shifts, reporting any discrepancies immediately.
  • Support caregivers in their duties and take on caregiver responsibilities as needed.
  • Respond promptly and kindly to resident needs while respecting their dignity and confidentiality.
  • Follow care plans to ensure appropriate care is provided to residents.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility.
  • Provide assistance during mealtimes, including meal selection, serving, and clearing.
  • Transport residents as necessary, ensuring safety and comfort during transfers.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a caregiver or pharmaceutical care associate is preferred.
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is advantageous.
  • Current First Aid/CPR/BLS certification is required.
  • Background checks as mandated by regulations.
  • Must meet health requirements, including TB testing.
