Key Responsibilities:

The Branch Manager will undertake a variety of essential duties, including but not limited to:

  • Evaluating local market dynamics, pinpointing current and potential sales opportunities, and formulating forecasts, financial targets, and strategic business plans for the branch.
  • Proposing beneficial modifications to branch policies and organizational goals.
  • Collaborating with the Regional Manager to establish branch and organizational objectives.
  • Effectively communicating with other branches and senior management by sharing insights on best practices, competitive intelligence, and business opportunities.
  • Promptly addressing customer satisfaction concerns.
  • Working closely with the Credit Department to implement and uphold credit policies.
  • Actively engaging in community, business, and industry organizations to enhance the branch's visibility and reputation.
  • Meeting the profitability targets set for the division, branch, and organization.
  • Assuming overall responsibility for revenue, margins, product mix, and market share objectives.
  • Managing and expanding existing distribution accounts at an operational level.
  • Analyzing data for trends and developing and executing value-added programs.
  • Assisting in the creation and implementation of initiatives to drive sales and enhance margins.
  • Participating in operational meetings and preparing necessary reports.
  • Collaborating with area suppliers, sales directors, and manufacturers' representatives.
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising sales personnel.
  • Enhancing knowledge of industry trends, products, and management disciplines.
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Performing other assigned duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with fluid and pneumatic power transmission, mechanical transmission (gear reducers), and the repair, service, and testing of these components.
  • Experience with hydraulic lifting components, hydraulic power units, and small to medium material handling pumps, including repair and operation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exemplary integrity and ethical standards.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Experience in monitoring the marketplace to identify business opportunities.
  • Technical expertise and knowledge of company products.
  • Effective listening, communication (both verbal and written), and negotiation skills.

  • Experience in managing warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory/warehouse management software.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals and driving sales growth.
  • Education: High school diploma required (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role (4 years preferred), with at least 3 years in a progressive position (4 years preferred), and relevant product/application experience required. Supervisory experience is preferred.
