Job Title: Treasury ALM Manager

Job Summary:

The Treasury ALM Manager is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and developing reporting, analysis, and processes related to balance sheet asset and liability management. This role contributes to the continuous improvement of all processes and procedures, while also providing analytical support to senior leadership regarding ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, enhance, and develop reporting, analysis, and processes related to balance sheet asset and liability management.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of all processes and procedures.
  • Provide analytical support to senior leadership regarding ongoing projects.
  • Lead and/or support the work of junior team members, providing guidance and advice as a senior member of the team.
  • Independently manage end-to-end functional programs.
  • Solve or lead others to solve complex problems; lead efforts or partner with others to develop new solutions.
  • Use sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify solutions.
  • Impact the achievement of sub-function or business line objectives within the area they are accountable for.
  • Communicate difficult concepts; convert information to compelling business context and advice; influence and gain alignment across increasingly senior stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience.
  • Customer accountabilities:
    • Provides day-to-day direction to team members on quantitative analysis.
    • Executes strategies for interest rate risk management, balance sheet forecasting, or funds transfer pricing.
    • Represents/provides critical information/context to risk, auditors, and regulators for own area of expertise.
    • Works with product areas on hedging major product campaigns and on new product offerings.
    • Acts as subject matter expert for own area and provide guidance/advice and recommendations to support dealings with internal/external partners.
  • Shareholder accountabilities:
    • Adheres to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to activities for the business area.
    • Consistently exercises discretion in managing correspondence, information, and all matters of confidentiality; escalates issues where appropriate.
    • Ensures respective programs/policies/practices are well managed, meet business needs, complies with internal and external requirements, and aligns with business priorities.
    • Protects the interests of the organization – identifies and manages risks, and escalates non-standard, high-risk activities as necessary.
    • Ensures business operations are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements (e.g., financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals, and physical control of assets).
    • Participates in cross-functional/enterprise/initiatives as a subject matter expert helping to identify risk/provide guidance for complex situations.
  • Employee/Team accountabilities:

    • Consults on projects within the department in order to assist in implementing in the existing framework.

    • Contributes to team development of skills and capabilities through mentorship of others, by sharing knowledge and experiences, and leveraging best practices.
    • Leads, motivates, and develops relationships with internal and external business partners/stakeholders to develop productive working relationships.
    • Contributes to a fair, positive, and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce.
    • Acts as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally.
