Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Accounting Manager to join our team at Seminole Hard Rock Support Services. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of financial reporting and technical accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all technical accounting and related reporting for our global businesses.
  • Provide financial leadership and support new and existing programs to ensure compliance with accounting standards and facilitate periodic financial reporting.
  • Adhere to Seminole Hard Rock Support Services policies and procedures.
  • Play an integral role in managing a highly responsive technical reporting department that interfaces across the organization to support key business initiatives.
  • Research and analyze technical positions and compliance efforts related to local US GAAP, IFRS, GASB, and other country-by-country GAAPs.
  • Proactively monitor and implement new standards.
  • Preparation of technical accounting memos.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of global technical accounting trainings.
  • Develop, communicate, and maintain accounting policies and practices.
  • Liaise with internal financial reporting and external audit teams, and other stakeholders to address queries and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Coordinate monthly with property controllers, IT, members of finance, tax, treasury, legal, merchandise, and other departments to obtain necessary information and analysis to support reporting requirements.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies related to technical reporting, including the amalgamation of information from various properties.
  • Present a professional image to employees, guests, clients, owners, and investors.
  • Operate ethically and in accordance with professional standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with advanced Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA or equivalent certification required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant audit experience.
  • Must possess excellent time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, including being a good listener and articulating complex issues in a crisp, compelling, and insightful manner.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
