We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Complex and Technical Accounting to join our team at Carrier. As a key member of our Accounting & Controllership department, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Complex Accounting function, focusing on complex/technical accounting issues and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
  • Provide expert guidance on technical accounting matters and drive the implementation of accounting standards.
  • Support the Corporate Assistant Controller and the Controller in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical accounting issues and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistent application across the organization.
  • Prepare and review technical accounting memos, documentation, and disclosures for financial reporting purposes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business.
  • CPA or Chartered Accountant certification.
  • 7+ years of extensive experience in technical accounting, including expertise in US GAAP and experience with complex accounting issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Public/Corporate accounting mix preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software (ERP/HFM), accounting standards and financial system tools, with strong Excel skills.
