Role Summary:

This position requires full-time onsite presence.

IQ Fiber is in search of a seasoned Accounting Manager to contribute to our financial operations. This role involves working closely with our VP and Controller on various accounting functions, including general ledger management, month-end closing processes, financial reporting, auditing, and year-end tax preparation, along with supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts.

The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and possess strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving abilities. A CPA certification is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the month-end closing process to guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements.
  • Generate reports for executives and stakeholders, ensuring adherence to standards for effective financial management.
  • Lead and mentor team members.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Review accruals for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with external accounting firms to facilitate a smooth audit and year-end tax reporting.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for Board meetings.
  • Analyze financial data to uncover trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support the development and monitoring of quarterly and annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Implement best practices across the accounting function.
  • Participate in system upgrades to improve financial reporting capabilities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; other relevant degrees may be considered.
  • CPA designation is strongly preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience in team management and leadership.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively while maintaining focus on details.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools, including Pivot Tables and VLookup.
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Proactive in seeking process improvements.
  • Adaptable to frequent changes in the business environment.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
