Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team at Hendrick Automotive Group. As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support throughout the service process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with customers and technicians to identify and document service, maintenance, and repair needs.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to customers on necessary and recommended services.
  • Offer additional services and repairs to customers, ensuring they are aware of all options available.
  • Compute costs of replacement parts and labor to restore vehicles to customer-specified conditions.
  • Estimate costs of mechanical, electrical, or other repairs, and enter itemized estimates on service orders.
  • Schedule appointments with customers and ensure timely completion of service work.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and meet dealership standards for repair and order production.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and best practices.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in automotive or customer service industries.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical operations of vehicles.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle safely.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Automotive salesperson license.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of dealership management systems and other web-based applications.
Work Environment

The Service Advisor will work in a fast-paced service environment, interacting with customers, technicians, and other dealership staff. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, with scheduled shifts including evening hours, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands

The Service Advisor will be required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, with frequent movement around the service area. The position may involve exposure to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service repair conditions.
