Job Summary

Under the supervision of a Habilitation Specialist, you'll assist in various program areas, implementing program plans and providing personal care to our clients. Your duties will include:

  • Providing physical and programmatic aid to clients
  • Aiding in daily operations of assigned program areas
  • Assisting with supervision of clients in assigned areas
  • Accompanying clients on community outings and maintaining close supervision
  • Driving Agency vehicles for transportation and other purposes
  • Performing clerical work, including data collection and entry
  • Participating in case conferences and interdisciplinary planning
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A valid New York State Driver's License
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills for effective interaction with colleagues, clients, and their families
  • Ability to analyze problems and determine corrective measures
  • Must be vaccinated against Covid-19
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred: six months of related experience
