Residential Care Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Care Assistant to join our team at Constructive Partnerships Unlimited. As a Residential Care Assistant, you will work in concert with the Shift Supervisor to provide general assistance and support to clients residing at our Sanctuary Site in Brooklyn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with clients on building ADL skills such as laundry, cleaning, and organization of room.
- Regularly monitor public indoor and outdoor spaces to ensure a safe environment in accordance with CP and DHS standards.
- Distribute and collect linen for laundry service in accordance with procedure.
- Assist with food warming and serving of meals.
- Clean serving utensils and pots.
- Complete Incident Reports as appropriate.
- Complete room checks as needed.
- Update logbook to foster greater and meaningful communication across shifts as needed.
- Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
- Meet with supervisor on regular basis.
- Interact with clients to promote a friendly supportive but professional atmosphere.
- All other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor or other supervisory staff.
Requirements:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- High School Diploma or Equivalency.
- Food Handler's Certificate.
- CPR/First Aide.
- Ability to speak/write the English language.
