About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to join our team at Ford Motor Company. As a Technical Program Manager, you will play a critical role in driving complex problems to completion and ensuring the successful delivery of our automotive product development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Engineering Teams: Lead engineering teams to contain and resolve issues raised from design reviews, virtual builds, and build events to protect the program's schedule to prototype build dates, start of production, and ongoing production.
  • Maintain Supplier Relationships: Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to ensure timely deliveries for build events.
  • Monitor Work Outputs: Identify potential systems and vehicle incompatibilities and opportunities for greater integration, velocity, and collaboration.
  • Ensure Transparency and Risk Management: Ensure problems are transparent and risks are identified and proactively managed within relevant engineering teams.
  • Set Agenda for Key Decisions: Set agenda for key decisions to be made at each meeting to eliminate bottlenecks and retire risks.
  • Support Cross-Functional Decision Making: Support key decisions working cross-functionally across engineering, finance, and strategy to reach the right conclusions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Product Development Knowledge: Detailed knowledge of the product development process from design, development, validation, and industrialization.
  • Materials, Processes, and Technologies: Knowledge of the materials, processes, and technologies used to deliver automotive structure systems or equivalent products.
  • Project Management Experience: Proven experience driving progress on multiple projects across multiple locations and timelines.
  • Automotive Experience: 5+ years of experience in an automotive product development environment.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Catia V5/6, Confluence, and Jira applications.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team Player: Eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high-performing team.
  • System Approach: A system approach with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement.
Preferred Requirements
  • Direct TPM Experience: Direct and relevant TPM experience in developing complex structures.
  • CAE Data Post-Processing: Ability to post-process CAE data (META, Altair Hyperview, etc.).
  • EE Fundamentals: EE fundamentals (able to develop and read block diagrams, etc.).
