Position Summary

The Junior Financial Accountant plays a crucial role in delivering financial assistance to our operational teams while ensuring excellent internal customer service. This position is hybrid and based in Charlotte, NC. We welcome applications from recent Accounting graduates with a strong academic record and relevant customer service experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily operations by training staff on financial data and back-office accounting systems.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between field operations and corporate departments such as Accounts Payable, Treasury, and Payroll.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly profit and loss statements to accurately reflect financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Group Accounting Policies and maintain robust internal controls.
  • Help meet contractual compliance requirements, including balance sheet reviews and operational closures.
  • Review and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
  • Validate requests from the field and prepare necessary journal entries.
  • Develop and maintain checklists for daily operations and month-end closing procedures.
  • Keep updated contact information for all internal customers in the field.
  • Identify and implement best practices to enhance processes and efficiency.
  • Perform additional accounting tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Accounting or Business with an Accounting focus, along with 3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, or 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Able to thrive under tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and quick to learn.
