Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in the success of our Physician Practice, providing exceptional patient care and supporting our Providers in delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Providers with patient exams, interviews, and vital sign collection
• Prepare charts, files, and medical records for accuracy and completeness
• Perform medical testing as instructed by Providers, including ordering supplies and equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and infection control protocols
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant course or equivalent work experience preferred
• Certification or equivalent work experience with proven competency; Friends and Family CPR required
• Two to Four years of relevant work experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical/physician's office preferred

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of basic office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, and computers
• Ability to work with EMR/EHR systems, including Meditech and Athena
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to push, pull, and lift at least 30 pounds
• Must be able to bend, stretch, and use stools and ladders
• Must meet all safety requirements associated with a medical office setting

Interrelationships:

• Ability to work with general supervision and staff members at all levels of the organization
• Contributes to the establishment of goals, priorities, and procedures relative to the office
• Ability to embrace and manage change
