Medical Scribe Opportunity at Brown Emergency Medicine

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Scribe at Brown Emergency Medicine. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a critical role in supporting our emergency department physicians by accurately documenting and transcribing patient encounters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians in documenting patient histories and physical exams
  • Track laboratory and radiographic test results and transcribe them into the medical record
  • Retrieve prior patient records and gather medical supplies as needed
  • Complete worker's compensation forms and audit physician charts
  • Generate discharge instructions as dictated by the ED physician
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Good data entry and typing skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Prior healthcare experience is an advantage
