ESG and SEC Reporting Manager - Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced ESG and SEC Reporting Manager to join our team in Boston, MA. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the preparation of ESG-related disclosures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, and developing ESG metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation of ESG-related disclosures, including those required by the SEC and other regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure alignment of ESG disclosures with frameworks such as SASB, TCFD, GRI, and ISSB.
  • Develop ESG metrics, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with financial and operational performance.
  • Partner with finance and legal teams to integrate ESG information into financial reporting, including 10-K, 10-Q, and other filings.
  • Stay current with evolving ESG regulations, particularly those related to SEC climate-related disclosure rules and other reporting standards.
  • Ensure company adherence to ESG-related accounting standards and reporting practices.
  • Conduct materiality assessments and ensure ESG risks and opportunities are accurately reflected in financial and non-financial disclosures.
  • Collaborate with investor relations and corporate communications teams to enhance transparency and responsiveness to investor and stakeholder inquiries on ESG matters.
  • Prepare presentations and materials for senior management, board meetings, and investor updates on the company's ESG performance.
  • Oversee the collection, validation, and analysis of ESG data across the organization.
  • Develop and implement systems and controls to improve data accuracy and reporting processes.
  • Partner with internal audit and finance teams to ensure the ESG reporting process aligns with internal control and audit standards.
  • Collaborate with the sustainability team to align ESG reporting with the company's broader sustainability goals and initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 5-10+ years of experience with a mixture between Audit/Accounting and ESG/Sustainability.
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Public Accounting (Big 4) experience in either an Audit or ESG Consulting role.
  • A working knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, ESG regulations, reporting frameworks/strategies, SEC rules/regulations, and financial reporting.
  • Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) experience and strong knowledge base.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Experience with SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and other regulatory reporting.
  • Familiarity with sustainability initiatives, including carbon accounting, climate risk analysis, and social responsibility programs.
  • Experience with internal control processes and SOX compliance.
