As a Controller, you will play a crucial role in leading our financial operations team, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial reporting, and providing strategic insights to support business objectives. With a strong background in accounting and a proven track record of leading audits, you will oversee the accounting function, including external and internal financial reporting, jurisdictional compliance, and management of receivables and payables.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading client management for the annual audit, including preparation and oversight of financial statements and footnote disclosures.
  • Supervising the month-end close process, ensuring adherence to the close calendar and optimizing the close cycle.
  • Overseeing the accounting function, including external and internal financial reporting, jurisdictional compliance, and management of receivables and payables.
  • Coordinating tax filings in partnership with external tax advisors.
  • Conducting account reconciliation reviews and driving process improvements for enhanced accuracy and efficiency.
  • Mentoring and developing the accounting team, providing regular feedback and opportunities for growth and professional development.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, based on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and a dynamic work environment. Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Accounting, Masters Preferred
  • 5+ years of professional Accounting Management experience, with SaaS industry expertise
  • 3+ years of Accounting Controller/ Director/Public Accounting Audit Management experience
  • Recent experience in leading and conducting audits to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Michigan preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Revenue Recognition (ASC 606), with application to SaaS and real estate sectors preferred.
  • Proven expertise in implementing ERP systems and/or managing general ledger conversions, preferred.
  • Experience in accounting for international companies.
  • Consolidation experience, including managing financials across multiple entities.
  • Strong background in overseeing internal control processes.
  • Proficiency in Zoho, NetSuite or comparable mid-market ERP systems
