Job Summary:

The Director of Development will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure major gifts, grants, and corporate sponsorships. This includes identifying and cultivating new donors, managing relationships with existing donors, and creating and implementing fundraising campaigns and events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve annual fundraising goals
  • Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations
  • Manage relationships with existing donors and create personalized giving plans
  • Develop and implement fundraising campaigns and events to engage donors and raise awareness about Covenant House Texas
  • Collaborate with the Chief Development Officer and other team members to achieve fundraising goals
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the Chief Development Officer and other stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 7 years of fundraising experience in a non-profit organization
  • Proven track record of securing major gifts and achieving fundraising goals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
