Position Summary

The Licensed Respiratory Therapist plays a crucial role in evaluating, treating, and managing patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders. This position requires a collaborative approach with the primary physician and interdisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and provide therapeutic treatments for patients experiencing respiratory issues.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to formulate and execute individualized patient care plans.
  • Assess and monitor patients' respiratory conditions to enhance their functional independence.
  • Administer physician-prescribed treatments and manage ventilators and other respiratory equipment.
  • Document patient care activities and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide education and training to nursing staff regarding respiratory care protocols.
  • Adhere to the company's ethical standards and regulatory requirements in all job functions.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain a positive image.
  • Knowledge of cardiopulmonary care standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in managing patients across various age groups, including adults and geriatrics.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in communication.
  • Familiarity with computer applications relevant to respiratory care.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • Certification as a CRT, RRT, or LRT, as applicable.
  • Current CPR and ACLS certifications are required.
