Critical Care Registered Nurse Job Description

Cook County Health and Hospitals is seeking a skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and research in critical care nursing.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the State of Illinois.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • At least one year of experience in adult critical care nursing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
