As a key member of our emergency management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing emergency management standards, regulations, and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement emergency management policies and plans, procedures, and risk assessments to identify, minimize, or eliminate hazards and threats.
  • Provide technical advice on preparedness and response activities associated with natural and/or man-made disasters.
  • Develop plans to ensure the capability to continue essential functions during all hazards.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute exercises in accordance with the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP).
  • Provide coordination and assistance to major activities to ensure the capability to continue essential functions during any event or incident.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience (or a master's degree and 6 years of professional experience) in emergency management, preparedness, risk management, or a related field.
  • Experience directing the response and recovery readiness planning of private or public organizations or experience managing a program related to preparedness, risk management, emergency management, or public health and safety.
  • Experience advising senior executives on emergency management programs.
  • Experience using executive-level program analyses to make decisions that improve effectiveness and efficiency of operations.
  • Experience providing guidance and technical assistance to internal and external customers, particularly human and social service providers, concerning complex, unusual, or unprecedented Federal emergency management initiatives.
