Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Cyber Warfare Instructor IV is tasked with delivering educational instruction, developing course materials, and providing expert knowledge in offensive cyber operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on Internet Protocol (IP) fundamentals, advanced IP concepts, tunneling, traffic analysis, and cyber operations fundamentals, integrating relevant emerging technologies into the curriculum.
  • Design, develop, and instruct on the application and execution of Air Force Cyber and Joint Cyber Mission Force capabilities.
  • Deliver advanced training on creating cyber operation effects across various network types, including IP, cellular, wireless, and industrial control systems.
  • Develop and instruct curriculum focused on computer programming, scripting, and cyber attack methodologies.
  • Plan and execute practical training missions, scenarios, and evaluations for various instructional formats, including in-residence and online courses.
  • Create advanced evaluation methods and scenarios to assess cognitive and hands-on skills.
  • Identify and recommend system requirements such as training environments and development tools to enhance instructional effectiveness.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge in areas such as Operating Systems (Linux and Windows), programming, scripting, and packet analysis.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • A Master's Degree with a minimum of 600 hours of instructional experience is required.
  • Preferred candidates include graduates of CNOQC, RIOT, or CNODP.
  • Certification at IAT/M Level III is mandatory, with desired certifications including GPEN, OSCP, OSCE, GCFA, RedHat+, and Linux+.
  • Demonstrable expertise in multiple operating systems is preferred.
  • Experience in malware analysis and computer exploitation is advantageous.
  • Top Secret Clearance/SCI is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

To successfully perform this role, individuals must be capable of fulfilling essential duties effectively. The following physical requirements are representative of the skills and abilities necessary:

  • Ability to walk or stand on various surfaces and sit for extended periods.
  • Capability to routinely climb and descend stairs.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
  • Regular use of hand dexterity, including grasping and reaching.
  • Work in a standard office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
