POSITION SUMMARY

The Cyber Warfare Instructor IV is accountable for delivering high-quality education, developing comprehensive curricula, and providing expert knowledge in offensive cyber operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct thorough planning, research, and analysis of Internet Protocol (IP) fundamentals, advanced IP concepts, tunneling techniques, traffic analysis, and the principles of Cyber Operations (CyO), including advanced concepts and the integration of emerging technologies into the educational framework.
  • Design, develop, and instruct on the implementation and execution of Air Force Cyber and Joint Cyber Mission Force capabilities.
  • Deliver advanced training on creating Cyber Operations effects across various network types, including IP, cellular, wireless, public switched telephone networks, industrial control systems, radio communications, mission systems, and air defense systems.
  • Develop and instruct curriculum focused on computer programming and scripting, ensuring students gain practical skills.
  • Plan and execute curriculum on Cyber Attack and Penetration methodologies.
  • Design and implement practical application training missions, scenarios, and evaluation tests for in-residence courses, mobile training teams, non-resident formats, online courses, and advanced distributed learning.
  • Create advanced cognitive and psychomotor evaluation methods and scenarios to assess student performance.
  • Identify and recommend system requirements such as training ranges, sandboxes, and Integrated Development Environments to support instructional needs.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge in areas such as Operating Systems (Linux and Windows), Programming, Scripting, and Packet Analysis.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • A Master's Degree and a minimum of 600 hours of instructional experience are mandatory.
  • Preferred candidates will have completed CNOQC, RIOT, or CNODP programs.
  • IAT/M Level III certification is essential, with desired certifications including GPEN, OSCP, OSCE, GCFA, RedHat+, and Linux+.
  • Demonstrable expertise in multiple operating systems is preferred.
  • Experience in malware triage and computer hacking/exploitation is advantageous.
  • A Top Secret Clearance/SCI is required.

We maintain a drug-free workplace and conduct post-offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

To successfully perform this role, individuals must meet the following physical requirements:

  • Ability to walk or stand on level and inclined surfaces and sit for extended periods.
  • Must be capable of routinely climbing and descending stairs.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds is required.
  • Must demonstrate dexterity in handling objects, bending elbows and knees, and reaching above and below shoulder height.
  • Work is conducted in a standard office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
