Job Title: System Administrator

Currency Exchange International (CXI) is a leading financial services and technology provider seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Windows-based infrastructure, including Active Directory, Entra ID, VMWare, and network administration. They will also serve as the primary technical point of contact for the IT Infrastructure team.

We are looking for a proactive, results-driven, and organized professional with a strong background in IT infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will have experience with Windows desktop OS device imaging and onboarding tools, patch management, and cloud resource management.

The System Administrator will work closely with the IT Infrastructure team to ensure the smooth operation of our systems and services. They will also be responsible for communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and improving Windows desktop and server OS and 3rd party software patch management infrastructure
  • Managing a geographically distributed, hybrid workforce, including administering VoIP and teleconference platforms
  • Diagnosing, upgrading, and repairing server, network, and other appliance hardware
  • Monitoring, responding to, and administering server, network, and application performance/availability issues
  • Updating and maintaining asset inventory and endpoint management toolsets
  • Applying network, server, and application security principles to new and existing systems
  • Proficiency with PowerShell (or other scripting languages) to create scripts for performing frequently executed tasks, workflows, and/or reports

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field and 1-3 years of professional administration experience, or 3 years of professional administration experience
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to organize work with multiple concurrent projects
  • Must be local to Louisville, Kentucky and able to commute to the office

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing failover WAN scenarios in a multi-WAN environment
  • Experience designing and implementing Windows desktop OS device provisioning and deployment
  • Experience administering compute and network resources on cloud hosting platforms
  • Experience applying industry standard security benchmarks
