Administrative Fellowship Program Overview

Norton Healthcare invites applications for our Administrative Fellowship Program within System Services. This two-year program is designed for postgraduate students seeking meaningful careers in healthcare administration.

The program offers a unique opportunity for Fellows to gain exposure to leadership and be directly involved in executive meetings, initiatives, and other strategic matters that offer a better understanding of the issues, challenges, and opportunities facing a large healthcare system.

Program Highlights
  • Individualized professional and leadership development driven by completion of a detailed leadership development plan
  • Completion of high-level rotations in areas spanning the Norton Healthcare system
  • Networking opportunities to develop professional relationships with senior leaders in your area of interest
  • Develop leadership experience by interviewing, organizing, mentoring, and leading interns during the Norton Healthcare Summer Internship Program
Year 1 Experience

Fellows will work alongside the Performance Excellence Team, focusing on improving clinical outcomes and quality measures. They will also have opportunities to develop interpersonal, basic operational, and leadership development skills by rotating through select clinical and business support departments across the system.

Training in Norton Healthcare's problem-solving methodology (DMAIC: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) and leading a strategic project as part of this training from concept to Control.

Year 2 Experience

Continued development of advanced leadership skills with longer rotations through both inpatient and outpatient settings with operational oversight in those areas.

Two large-scale projects selected by the members of Norton Healthcare's leadership team.

Mentorship from their assigned executive mentor as well as other key leaders in the system.
