Position Summary
The Snowsports Administrative Coordinator is responsible for delivering exceptional service to both internal and external guests while maintaining a professional demeanor in interactions with all staff members. This role reports directly to the Director of Snowsports and the General Manager, assisting with various administrative tasks related to Snowsports operations. This is a seasonal full-time position during the winter months.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administrative functions of Snowsports programs, including but not limited to Human Resource documentation, payroll processing, record management, and guest registration.
- Manage the distribution and tracking of departmental uniforms.
- Exhibit a high standard of guest service skills, providing effective communication and assistance to guests.
- Availability to work on weekends and holidays, arriving prepared for all assigned duties.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure the safety, security, and enjoyment of guests.
- Communicate the lesson process clearly to parents or guardians of children.
- Possess a basic understanding of proper fitting and sizing of rental equipment.
- Accurately describe various levels of skiing and snowboarding to students of differing skill levels.
- Provide advisory support to the Snowsports Director and General Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- High school diploma is preferred.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with groups and individuals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Maintain a calm and pleasant demeanor when interacting with all guests.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiar with Google applications.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Successful completion of a background check is required.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights.
- Manual dexterity required for operating equipment and reading technical materials.
- Availability to work during holidays and weekends.
